I'm Laura Donnelly, the proud owner and founder of this enchanting space, formerly known as Little Box of Hygge. I'm thrilled to introduce you to our world of hygge-inspired treasures and guide you on a journey towards a more serene and joyful life.
My own love affair with hygge began a few months before Covid, when I discovered the Danish philosophy of finding happiness in life's simple pleasures. Making the most of the small things, enjoying moments of togetherness each day and always having something, albeit small, to look forward to really helped us get through those initial 12 weeks of the first lockdown along with our young children. We cooked, baked and enjoyed meals together as a family. We took our daily walk with a flask of hot chocolate and looked forward to our Friday night movie under the blankets with popcorn and pizza. We spent our Sundays crafting, creating and playing board games and, underneath all the uncertainty and angst about the worldwide situation, hygge helped us to stay happy, safe and mentally healthy.
Inspired by the nurturing power of hygge, the warm glow of candlelight and the soothing scents that enveloped my space, I set out to create Hygge at Home.
One of our proudest offerings is our hand-poured candles. Each candle is meticulously crafted with love and care, using premium soy wax and infused with captivating fragrances that transport you to a state of tranquility. The soft flickering flame and comforting scents create a cosy ambiance that invites you to unwind, relax, and embrace the present moment.
In addition to our candles (and also wax melts and diffusers), we have carefully curated a natural skincare range that nourishes both your skin and your soul. Harnessing the power of nature's ingredients, our skincare products are thoughtfully formulated to provide a gentle and indulgent self-care experience. From luxurious body butters to rejuvenating facial masks, each product is created with your well-being in mind, free from harsh chemicals and artificial additives.

Greenleaf is an independent environmental certification body and tech company, developing tools to help people and businesses measure and manage their impact in real-time, This has been essential in the world’s current situation and with the government’s current and incoming legislation also been essential for businesses.
Our Route-to-Zero events are all about raising awareness for environmental issues, engagement with Green-tech & eco-friendly businesses, and funds for green initiatives. This helps and supports businesses to be able to connect to similar companies in the same field of work.
The August event which we’re running in conjunction with one of our clients, Chelmsford City Racecourse, is a world first. This is going to be a two-day event and includes the first-ever zero-carbon race day.
Day one is a Greentech Expo with 150+ businesses attending being able to show their new or current Greentech or green products that the businesses produce, This is going to be great for businesses to be able to promote their stuff to a large number of attendees that will be coming on the day.
Day two is the race day itself, with 7,000 expected attendees. Our Route-to-zero event also falls directly in the middle of Chelmsford’s sustainability week and the event is going to be televised with 1.4m expected to tune in.
