There are moments in life that feel like turning the page of a favourite book.
For us, moving to St Helena Cottage has been one of those moments.
After months of waiting, planning and imagining what this next chapter might look like, we're finally here. While there are still jobs to finish (our workshop floor is still waiting to be laid and the walls are yet to be decorated), Hygge at Home has officially found its new home.
Every gift box is now carefully packed here, surrounded by open countryside, peaceful views and a slower pace of life that perfectly reflects everything Hygge at Home stands for.
More than just a workshop
One of the reasons I started Hygge at Home was because I believe the most meaningful gifts aren't always the biggest or the most expensive.
They're the ones that say:
"I'm thinking of you."
"Take some time for yourself."
"Congratulations."
"I'm here if you need me."
Every gift box is created with that in mind.
Moving to St Helena Cottage hasn't changed that; it has simply given those ideas a beautiful new home.
Finding joy in the simple things
One of my favourite things about living here so far has been discovering the little everyday moments that often pass us by.
Morning coffee overlooking the fields.
Evening walks around the garden.
Watching the light change throughout the day.
Even feeding the many fish in our pond (yes, there are well over 200 of them, including one particularly memorable carp with a rather unusual name chosen by the children!).
These small moments are what hygge has always meant to me.
Not perfection.
Not expensive things.
Simply creating little pockets of comfort and calm within everyday life.
Handmade with care
Many of the products you'll find inside our gift boxes are lovingly made by hand as part of our Eva Carys Botanica collection.
From our Ritual candles and diffusers to body care products and soothing home fragrances, each one is designed to encourage simple moments of relaxation and wellbeing.
They're created in small batches here at St Helena Cottage before becoming part of the thoughtfully curated gift boxes we send all over the UK.
Looking ahead
This move feels like the beginning of something really exciting.
Over the coming months I'll be sharing much more from behind the scenes: how our products are made, life at St Helena Cottage, seasonal inspiration, gift guides and plenty of cosy moments along the way.
